Strand Executive, BBC Storyville

Graduated in 1992 from Oxford Polytechnic with BA Hons in English Literature and History of Art (specialising in Italian Renaissance, Dutch C17th and Spanish C16th painting).

Has worked for Storyville, the BBC's international documentary strand, since its launch in 1997.

Buyer, BBC producer (Picasso Days, Cod Wars, The Somme, Behind the Wall, To Live Is Better Than To Die, Lost in Transit, Bus 174, Barca FC among others).   Programmed two documentary seasons for BBC FOUR (Rock Docs 2002 and Families 2003).  Professional Supporter of the STEPS initiative for filmmakers in Southern Africa, which gave funding, training and worldwide distribution to locally made films dealing with the HIV/Aids pandemic.  Tutor for the Discovery Campus Masterschool 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.  

Other production work includes Waco: The Rules of Engagement (Oscar nominated BBC version, 1998),  Journey to the Far Right (1998), RUEU? (2000) and three years spent within the production location filming business.  Has also worked and travelled extensively in Africa.
