Josh Dugdale
Award winning filmmaker Joshua Dugdale was born in Birmingham in 1974. He studied Economics at Manchester University, followed by a Masters in Law at the City University, London. He then commenced his film making career with a documentary in Cuba - The award Winning, 'Pepe and his Cuban Wheels', was the result and which was snapped up by the BBC with Joshua becoming the youngest ever producer at BBC Foreign and Current Affairs.
This was followed by, 'Catching up with Speedy', about the Mexican guerrilla leader, Subcommandante Marcos. Other notable film productions were 'The Tijuana Cartel', and the critically acclaimed 'LAPD Blues'.
Joshua has been following the Dalai Lama since 2004 resulting in his first feature length documentary, 'The Unwinking Gaze' which was recently nominated for the top journalism awards of the Foreign Press Association in London, as well as winning Best Film 2008 at the Mammoth International Film Festival.
