After a Masters degree in Writing and Performance for Film, Theatre and Television at York University and a Film Directing course at the Brighton Film School, Robert began working professionally on Indie features, shorts and promos as an Assistant Director, whilst also developing his editing skills on various short form projects. Robert then worked as Nick Broomfield's Associate Producer on 'Ghosts'. Shortly after this, he decided to focus his energies on directing and producing his own work.

 Third Eye Film Productions

Rob and Corinna Villari-McFarlane have directed, produced and edited in partnership since late 2006. Their directorial debut "Three Miles North of Molkom", has so far received acclaim in the trade press, (Variety calling the film "thoroughly entertaining... rather miraculous in its execution") and has been multi-nominated for 'Best Documentary' and 'Best Debut' across various international film festivals, winning the Audience Award for 'Best Feature' at Scandinavia's largest film festival, Gothenburg, by a record margin. Most recently, it was the only pre-release film to be nominated for "Best British Documentary" at the British Independent Film Awards.

Metrodome plan the UK theatrical release for June and sales to other territories will be announced shortly. Robert and Corinna are currently speaking to potential production partners in relation to their next project; a fiction feature film.
