Hayley graduated from the University of Bournemouth in June 2008 where she directed, produced and cut her first two films.  Sgt. Bananasexplores the weighty influence The Beatles have on six year-old Oliver and his three friends who have formed their own tribute band. RTS nominated The Slaughterman considers the human cost of the 2001 Foot and Mouth Disease crisis through the experiences of Slaughteman Gordon Nixon who still suffers from Post Traumatic Stress.

Hayley is interested in engaging with issues and ideas through personal and experiential accounts from everyday people.  Since graduating, she has been working as a researcher for BBC Specialist Factual and is currently working on a BBC Four social history series.
