Corinna Villari-McFarlane
Corinna began directing and producing for theatre at 17, successfully touring shows through London, Brighton and the Edinburgh Festival in the summer's of her Political Science degree. Upon graduation she became a producer on her first feature film, the low-budget Indie, "The Great Ecstasy of Robert Carmichael", which competed for the Camera D'Or at Cannes in 2005. It was on this film that she first met Rob. After a couple of years working in production roles across the visual media, Corinna decided it was time to direct and edit her own work. Corinna and Rob Cannan have directed, produced and edited in partnership since late 2006. Their directorial debut "Three Miles North of Molkom", has so far received acclaim in the trade press, (Variety calling the film "thoroughly entertaining... rather miraculous in its execution") and has been multi-nominated for 'Best Documentary' and 'Best Debut' across various international film festivals, winning the Audience Award for 'Best Feature' at Scandinavia's largest film festival, Gothenburg, by a record margin. Most recently, it was the only pre-release film to be nominated for "Best British Documentary" at the British Independent Film Awards.
Metrodome plan the UK theatrical release for June and sales to other territories will be announced shortly. Robert and Corinna are currently speaking to potential production partners in relation to their next project; a fiction feature film.
