Pitching for Docs

A selection of up and coming filmmakers will pitch their story ideas to a panel of industry experts, hosted by Hannah Patterson. Hannah won the Britdoc 08  Short Pitch for 'Shelter in Place' and is currently commissioning editor for Kamera Books and Creative Essentials. Commissioning editors Jo Lapping from BBC Storyville, Lina Prestwood from Current TV , Rebecca Frankel from Fourdocs and Neil Cairns from the Al Jazeera series People and Power will be on the panel. 

They will provide feedback on the projects whilst giving away tips of how to successfully pitch your idea and what they look for in the story ideas they commission. The lucky winner will receive mentoring from award winning producer Benita Matofska, a priceless opportunity for fledgling filmmakers.
