When China met Africa: Making of...
Director: Marc Francis and Nick Francis
Time: 13.15 Duration: 90 mins
Marc and Nick Francis' latest feature documentary, "When China Met Africa" is a timely film about China's foray into Africa told through the lives of Chinese adventurers and Zambian power brokers. Shot over two years, and with intimate access to the Chinese community and the Zambian government, what went on behind the scenes was as fascinating as the film itself. In this session, with previously unseen clips from the film, Marc reveals the extraordinary journey he went on to capture his stories in Zambia and China. This session will be hosted by filmmaker Jerry Rothwell (Deep Water / Heavy Load).
